As I have mentioned previously: I really love to read.
So when completing an assignment I heard the presented mention something about a book that they used regularly to aide their design practice, my ears perked up.
The book is slide:ology The Art and Science of Creating Great Presentations by Nancy Duarte. I ordered it without hesitation.

The book is absolutely gorgeous, covering design and presentation ideas for instructional designers, e-learning developers, and individuals with big presentations in their future. Or anyone that loves a beautiful developed visual story.
As I just get my feet wet in the field of instructional design, I know that I lack some crucial design skills. My eye is not yet tuned to know when a slide I developed is perfect. slide:ology is another resource I am excited to add to my ever expanding tool belt.
This tool has already proven to make me frame projects with a keener design lens; I already referenced it for a current work project! I have little doubt that now, and as I continue to develop professionally, slide:ology will continue to guide and inspire my practice.
