It’s Spring (semester 2022)

It’s been a second since I have posted on my blog. Although I’ve had much to discuss over the last year (and my goodness has the last year and some change been a YEAR) I spent a lot of time offline with my family and myself. I’ve exploring hobbies and topics that I have wanted to both in and outside of the instructional design field.

You would actually be amazed at how much outside of the Instructional Design field I can tie back into being an Instructional Designer.

An example of me tying everything back to ID: I love to read a fiction during my courses to make parallels.

What am I looking forward to this semester? All the things.

  • I am working with Boise State’s Marginalized and Cross-Cultural Research & Design Learning Tech Group on a project! I am absolutely thrilled to be a member of this team and cannot wait to see what is in store for our little group of researchers.
  • I decided to focus most of this semester on data, how to read data, and what visualizing data looks like.
  • I am hoping that this semester is going to be an excellent platform for springboarding back into the workforce.
    • I spent last semester off after a personal loss. I needed to time to, quite literally, relax. I needed to time to just think.

Here is to starting up the new year and seeing where things go from here!
